Step 1: Cut off the Power Supply

Safety always comes first. In the first steps of the procedure, the technician turns off the air conditioning unit and unplugs it from the electric socket. This avoids electric shocks while doing an overhaul. 

Step 2: Disassembling of the Air Conditioner

After the power is off, the AC unit is disassembled by the technician in a gentle manner. The cover, air filters, fan coil unit and the drain pipe are removed. Every part is removed so that it is possible to clean all the components thoroughly. 

Step 3: Chemical Cleaning of the Fan Coil Unit 

Fan coil unit is one very dirty component of the unit which tends to have a lot of dirt and mold build up. Cleaning the coil is done by the technician with a special chemical solution.It is essential to rinse the coil off with water after this procedure so that all traces of the chemical are washed off.

Step 4: Cleaning the Air Filters

Step 9: Lubrication of Moving Parts  

The fan along with the motor moves in the aircon system. This set of components requires lubrication. After cleaning the parts, the technician will lubricate all of them. Lubrication minimizes friction which reduces sound and also improves the overall functioning of the system.  

Step 10: Reassembling the Air Conditioner  

After cleaning the air conditioner, the coil, and the other parts of the system, the technician puts them together. Each component should not be misplaced. Once everything is in order, the unit will function properly.

Step 11: Final Testing

The technician plugs in the air conditioning unit after it has been reassembled. They check to see if it operates properly. This final evaluation involves checking cooling, noise, and airflow. If there are no problems, the chemical overhaul is considered complete.
